We also aim for 90% of parents or
guardians to report that they feel better prepared to care for their child as a result of the services provided
by UP.
UP's program meets Goal #3 of the City of Santa Ana's Strategic Plan: Access to and supply of public
services. Between July 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026, UP will provide early intervention and pediatric
therapy services to 212 uninsured and under -insured children with disabilities residing in Santa Ana and
any potential grant funds from the City of Santa Ana will help UP bridge the funding gap associated with
treating uninsured and under -insured children. Our Safety Net Fund increases access to high -quality,
compassionate, and individualized disability services for uninsured and under -insured children with
disabilities who call Santa Ana home while doing so at no cost to them and their families. We are a
nonprofit service provider offering critical services and activities to low- and moderate -income residents
with disabilities and and services will be provided at our facility in Santa Ana, via telehealth, and in the
homes of children with disabilities who live in Santa Ana. While our Safety Net Fund might not directly
meet the housing goals of the City of Santa Ana's Strategic Plan, our commitment to treating children and
families in need, regardless of diagnosis or means to pay, helps children and families with disabilities
access high -quality treatment without placing financial burden on them. We believe that by offering these
services free of charge, we can help families with disabilities minimize the risk of housing insecurities.
Funding will contribute towards playing the salaries of our Director of Clinical Services, Physical Therapy
Manager, and Occupational Therapy Manager who will oversee the provision of early intervention and
pediatric therapy sessions to 53 unduplicated, uninsured, and under -insured children with disabilities
residing in Santa Ana each quarter.
EXHIBIT A
