Banuelos addressed the Council relative to proposed cuts at the <br />Corbin Center and requested that the Community Action Partnership be <br />asked to assist the City <br /> <br />Debbie McEwen addressed the Council relative to concerns about <br />fireworks during the upcoming July 4th weekend <br /> <br />Peter Mangusing addressed the Council and asked for assistance and <br />support in obtaining funds for his karate class to travel to Hawaii <br /> <br />George Collins addressed the Council with concerns relative to the citation <br />he received from Code Enforcement <br /> <br />90.B. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> <br />Councilmember Garcia <br /> · Thanked Councilmember Christy for her efforts as the City's <br /> representative on the Orange County Sanitation District Board in <br /> opposing the proposed fee increases <br /> · Asked all residents to use safe fireworks during the July 4th holiday <br /> <br />Councilmember Solorio <br /> · Announced that there would be a homebuyers event held at the <br /> Delhi Center on Saturday, June 21, 2003 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 <br /> p.m. to assist potential homebuyers <br /> · Announced that Dr. Enriqueta Ramos was leaving the Rancho <br /> Santiago College District and moving to Texas. <br /> · Asked property owners to call the Assessment District helpline for <br /> any questions a bout t he proposed assessment district; h e further <br /> asked property owners who did not receive their ballots to notify the <br /> Clerk of the Council <br /> <br />Councilmember Christy <br /> · Asked staff to bring the issue of unauthorized outside dining to the <br /> Neighborhood Improvement and Code Enforcement Council <br /> Committee (NICE) for review <br /> · Encouraged residents to attend the Orange County Sanitation <br /> District public hearing on the proposed fee increases on June 25, <br /> 2003 <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 197 JUNE 2, 2003 <br /> <br /> <br />
