COMMENTS Councilmember Bist · Noted that the funding for the all weather turf soccer fields was coming from grant funds and not the City's general Fund · Requested that a Council Committee on the City Budget be created and volunteered to sit on this Committee · Asked the City Council to adjourn in memory of Roy Rodney Russell Sr., who made significant contributions to the City of Santa Ana. His father moved to Santa Ana in 1918, and as a young man, Roy joined his father to form a building company, Roy Russell and Sons. Together they built many homes in Santa Aha for about 20 years. Following his father's death, Roy Russell, Sr. built many custom homes, primarily in the West Floral Park area until he retired in 1993. Many individuals in Santa Ana can say they live in a Roy Russell home.
