ORDINANCE NO~ N~-10 OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, <br /> FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY ASCERTAINED TO CARRY ON THE <br /> VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, TO PAY TEE <br /> BONDED INDEBTEDNESS FALLING DUE FOR THE CURRENT YEAR 1953- <br /> 1954, FIXING THE RATE OF TAXATION FOR THE CURRENT YEAR 1953- <br /> 195~, AND DESZGNATING THE NUMBER OF CENTS ON EACH $100.00 <br /> FOR THE VARIOUS FUNDS OF SAID CITY AND HEREBY LEVIED ON THE <br /> WHOLE OF THE TAXABLE PROPEETY OF SAID CITY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, heretofore, on the 28th day of December, 1914, the City <br />of Santa Ana did elect to avail itself o£ ~he provisions of State law <br />providing that assessment of property and collection of taxes might <br />be done for cities by the county in which the cities were located; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, under the provisions of Section 600 of the Charter of <br />the City of Santa Aha, the county system of assessment and tax collec- <br />tion shall continue to be used unless otharwise provided by Ordinance; <br />and <br /> <br /> WherEAS, the Auditor of the County of Orange on the 12th day of <br />August, 1953, filed his statement in writing with the council of the <br />City of Santa Ana, showing the total value of all property within the <br />corporate limits for the fiscal year 1953-195~ as equalized and collec- <br />ted by the Board of Supervisors of Orange County, and fixed the sum as <br />shown'by the assessment rolls for said year at $63,430,980.00 exclusive <br />of operative property, end showing the total value of all property be- <br />longing to public utilities and used as operative property within the <br />corporate limits of said City for said fiscal year as tentatively de- <br />termined by the Board of EQualization of the State of California to be <br />$5,389,590.00 which said amounts make a total assessed valuation for <br />tax purposes within the City of Santa Aha of the sum of $68,820,570.00; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, TEE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. That the total valuation of the taxable property of <br />the City of Santa Aha of $68,820,570.00 shall be used as a basis for <br />the levy of the taxes of the City of Santa A'na~~ at the same time and in <br />the same manner in which County levies are made and collected. <br /> <br /> <br />
