Newhope Street Signal Coordination <br /> <br />This project involves collecting turning movement counts at critical intersections; collecting <br />other field data, such as lane geometrics, link speeds and distances; obtaining existing signal <br />timing from the City's signal system; and developing, implementing and fine-tuning <br />'coordination timing for a total of six signals on Newhope Street. <br /> <br />Coordination timings xvill be developed for the intersections of Newhope Street at: <br /> <br />1. 17th Street <br />2. Hazard Street <br />3. 5th Street <br />4. 1st Street <br />5. McFadden Avenue <br />6. Edinger Avenue <br /> <br />3. Traffic Management Center Inter-tie Project <br /> <br />This project involves coordinating traffic signals on three arterials in the immediate vicinity of <br />the City boundary of Santa Ana and Costa Mesa so as to minimize delays and stops for <br />motorists when travelling on these three arterials between the cities. <br /> <br />Field review by AGA staff indicated that a total of five signals on Harbor Boulevard between <br />Macarthur Boulevard and South Coast Drive should be coordinated. Of the five traffic signals <br />on Harbor Boulevard, two signals are controlled and maintained by Santa Ana, t~vo by Costa <br />Mesa, and one is shared by both Santa Ana and Costa Mesa. <br /> <br />On Fairvie~v Street, between Macarthur Boulevard and South Coast Drive, a total of three <br />traffic signals should be coordinated.
