ORDINANCE NO. NS-130 AMENDING SECTION 11 OE ARTICLE VI OF THE <br /> FIRE CODE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ~A TO REGULATE UNDERGROUND STORAGE <br /> AND PU~S IN SERVICE STATIONS <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ~d~A DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOw'S: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. That Section 11 of Article VI of the Fire Code of the City of <br />Santa Aha is hereby amended by adding to the end thereof new provisions which shall <br />also be added to and an amendment of Psrt 2, Chapter t, Article III of the Santa Aha <br /> <br />Municipal Cods in words and figures as follows: <br /> <br /> "SECTION 3121.7. Application. <br /> <br /> These regulations shall apply to pressure delivery systems for delivery <br /> of gasoline to the fuel tanks of motor vehicles at automotive service stations, <br /> whether new, modernized or rebuilt, within the City of Santa Aha. The Chief <br /> may alter or impose additional regulations where such systems are located <br /> within buildings. <br /> <br /> SECTION 3121.8. Definitions. <br /> <br /> (a) "Approved" shall mean accepted by the Chief of the Fire Depart- <br /> ment as a result of investigation or by reason of test, listing or approval <br /> by nationally recognized testing laboratories. <br /> <br /> (b) "Pressure Delivery System" or "Remote Pumping System" shall mean <br /> any method of transferring gasoline from underground storage tanks to the <br /> fuel tanks of motor .vehicles wherein the pump is located elsewhere than in <br /> the dispenser. <br /> <br /> SECTION 3121.9. Permits. <br /> <br /> (a) A permit shall be obtained for the installation of a pressure de- <br /> livery system prior to the commencement of any work. The application for <br /> such permit shall be accompanied by plans. Such plans shall show the wor~ to <br /> be accomplished and its position with respect to other facilities or structures <br /> including location of tan~s, pits, pumps, piping and valves~ dispensers and <br /> electrical controls used in conjunction therewith. <br /> <br /> (b) Notification shall be given to the C~hief prior to abandonment, al- <br /> teration or repair of any part of a pressure delivery system, except the <br /> dispenser. <br /> <br /> (c) Tan~s, pits, pumps, electrical equipment, piping systems, dispensers, <br /> hose, nozzles and other integral parts of pressure delivery systems shall be <br /> <br /> <br />
