"Section 8217. Inspec~on and Testing. <br /> <br /> "Sec. 318 of said Code is amended by rewording Subsection (e) <br />under 2 (Testing) to read: '(e) House Sewer Test. House sewers <br />shall be tested by plugging the end of the house sewer at its <br />point of connection with the public sewer or private sewage dis- <br />posal system and completely filling the house sewer with water <br />from the lowest point thereof up to the discharge from the lowest <br />fixtures.'" <br /> <br />"Section 8218. Materials. <br /> <br /> "Sec. 401 of said Code is ~ ended to read: '(a) Drainage Pipe <br />shall be cast iron, lead, copper, or brass, except that no copper <br />tubing shall be used underground and all such copper tubing shall <br />be kept at least six inches (6") above ground. (b) Drainage <br />fittings s!~all be cast iron, lead, brass or copper having a <br />smooth interior waterway of the same diameter as the piping serve <br />and all such fittings shall conform to the type of pipe used. <br /> <br /> 1. Fittings on screwed pipe shall be of the recessed drainage <br />type. Burred ends sh~ll be ~eamed to the full bore of the pipe. <br /> <br /> 2. The threads of drainage fittings shall be tapped so as to <br />allow one fourth inch (3") per foot grade.'" <br /> <br />"Section 8219. Size of Drainage Piping. <br /> <br /> "Sec. 403 of said Code is amended by adding a new sentence at <br />the end of Subsection (a) to read: 'In no case, however, shall <br />any soil line into which a toilet wastes be ~ ss than four inches <br />(4"). '" <br /> <br />"Section 8220. Table No. 3- <br /> <br /> "Table No. 3 of Chapters 4 and 5 of said Code is amended by <br />adding a new ~entence to the 'note' at the bottom of the page <br />to read: 'In no case shall any soil line into which a toilet <br />wastes be ~ss tha~ four ~4") inches.'" <br /> <br />"Section 8221. Size of Vents. <br /> <br /> "Section 504 (a) of said Code is amended by changing Exception <br />(1) to read: '~hen a house drain exceeds three (3) inches in <br />size such stack shall be equal in size to the largest required <br />drainage stack in the building but in no case less than four (4") <br />inches. '" <br /> <br />"Section 8222. Vent Pipe Grades and Connections. <br /> <br /> "Sec. 505 (c) of s~d Code is amended by adding a new sentence <br />at the end thereof to read: 'Toilets may be vented off the stub, <br />providing intersection of the vent shall not exceed fifteen (15") <br />inches below the top of the floor.'" <br /> <br />"Section 8223. Vent Termination. <br /> <br /> "Sec. 506 (b) of said Code is amended to read: 'Each vent <br />shall terminate not ~ss tha~ eight (8') feet from or at ~ast <br />three (3') feet above any window, door, opening, air intake or <br />vent shaft, nor less th~ eight (8') feet in every direction frc~ <br />any lot line, alley and street excepted.," <br /> <br />-5- <br /> <br /> <br />
