have been violated, call for a reinspection at any reason- <br />able time. A permit may be revoked or suspended for the <br />existence of any state of facts which would have been a <br />good reason for denying such permit when applied for, or <br />for a violation cf this part. Such permit shall expire on <br />December 31st of the year of its issuance, and all renewals <br />shall expire on December 31st of the year in which granted, <br />unless revoked or suspended sooner by the Chief of Police. <br /> <br /> No certificate of public convenience and necessity shall <br />be sold, transferred, assigned, mortgaged or otherwise con- <br />veyed without the consent of the City Council, and the sale, <br />transfer, assignment, mortgaging or otherwise conveying of <br />any such certificate without the consent and approval of <br />the City Council shall operate as a revocation of such cert- <br />ificate. <br /> <br /> Any person who, om the date of adoption of this Ordinance, <br />is engaged in the operation of an ambulance business within <br />this City, shall be issued a CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVEN- <br />IENCE AND NECESSITY authorizing such person to operate the <br />number of ambulances such person has in operation on said <br />date, after making an application for an ~mbulance permit, <br />providing his equipment conforms with the provisions of this <br />Ordinance. <br /> <br />Section 6394.2. Same. Driver's Permit. <br /> <br /> No person shall drive any ambulance in the City without <br />first applying for mad obtaining a special ambulance driv- <br />er's permit, nor shall such person drive any ambulance after <br />such permit has expired or been revoked. <br /> <br /> Any person desiring an ambulance driver's permit shall <br />apply to th~ Chief of Police for the same, and the provis- <br />ions of Section 6382, 6382.1, 6382.2, and 6389 shall apply <br />to the issuance of such permits except that wherever there- <br />in reference is made to "taxicabs" or "motor bus" the same <br />shall read as though the word "ambulance" were substituted <br />therefor, and wherever ~erein reference is made to the <br />"Boar~" the same shall be read as though the phrase "Chief <br />of Police" were substituted therefor. The appeal provisions <br />of Section 6389 shall be available to any person desiring to <br />appeal from any decision made by the Chief of Police. <br /> <br /> Ail such permits shall expire on December 31st next <br />succeeding the date of issuance or renewal. A renewal of <br />such a permit may be had only by a finding of the Chief of <br />Police that the applicant still is in compliance with the <br />conditions required for the issuance of such a permit. <br />Such permit may be revoked or suspended by the Chief of <br />Police for the existence of any state of facts which would <br />have been a good reason for denying such permit when applied <br />for, or for a violation of this Part. The Chief of Police <br />shall have the authority, for good cause or on reasonable <br />belief that any of the provisions herein have been violated, <br />to reexamine the information contained in the application to <br />see if a revocation should be imposed. <br /> <br /> No person under the age of 21 years shall be granted an <br />ambulance driver's permit, and no ambulance, while on call, <br />shall be operated within the City unless accompanied by a <br />person, other than the driver, who has successfully completed <br />the American Red Cross First Aid Training Course and has <br />reached the age of 18 years. <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br /> <br />
