ORDINANCE NO. N$-~3~ ORDERING AND PROVIDING FOR A SPECIAL ~UNICIPAL ELECT--~0 BE HELD IN THAT TERRITORY DESIGNAT~ "SOUTH SA~WTA ANA ANNEX NO. 2" ON APRIL 26th, 1960, FOR THE PURPOSE OF SUBMITTING TO THE VOTERS IN SAID TERRITORY THE QUESTION OF ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA WHEREAS, heretofore all of the steps necessary for the initia- tion of annexation procedure under the Annexation Act of 1913 have been completed as required by law, including the adoption of Resolu- tion No. 60-16 detailing the proc e dures and providing for a special election to be held on April 5, 1960 for submission to the electors residing in the territory herei~below described the q~estion of annexation of said territory to the City of Santa Ana; and WHEREAS, a mandamus proceeding No. 86382 has been filed in the Superior Court of Orange County, California, has not yet been decided, and an Alternative Writ of :andate has been issued by said Court restraining the City from proceeding with said annexation, thereby tolling the statutory requirement that said election be held within 75 days of the final protest hearing. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF sANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That the original date fixed for a special election on the question of annexation is hereby canceled and ch~ged, and a special election is hereby called and ordered to be held on the 26th day of Apr,.l, 1960, in that certain territory hereinbelow described, and designated as "South Santa Ana Annex No. 2", and said name is declare~ to be the na~e by which said territory shall be indicated upon the ballots at s~id election. Said territory lies in the County of Orange, State of California and is described as:
