SECTION 9210.20. District. <br /> <br /> A portion of the City within which certain uses of land and buildings are <br />permitted or prohibited and withinwhich certain yards and other open spaces are <br />required and certain height limits are established, and certain off-street park- <br />ing areas are required, all as set forth and specified in this Chapter concern- <br />ing Districts and the modification thereof by suffix or prefix. <br /> <br />SECTION 9210.21. Dwelling, One-Family. <br /> <br /> A building containing only one (1) kitchen, designed for or used to house <br />not more than one (1) family, including all necessary employees of such family. <br /> <br />SECTION 9210.22. Dwelling, Two-Family. <br /> <br /> A building containing not more than t~o (2) kitchens designed or used to <br />house two (2) families living independently of each other, including all nec- <br />essary employees of such families. <br /> <br />SECTION 9210.23. DwellinE, ~ltiple-Family. (See Apartment House). <br /> <br />SECTION 9210.24. Family. <br /> <br /> One (1) person living alone or two or more persons living together as a single <br />housekeeping unit. <br /> <br />SECTION 9210.25. Garage, Private. <br /> <br /> An accessory building or portion of a main building, enclosed on three (3) <br />or more sides and designed or used for the shelter or storage of vehicles owned <br />or operated by the occupant of the main building. <br /> <br />SECTION 9210.26. Garage, Public. <br /> <br /> A building, other than a private garage, used for the storage, care, repair <br />or equipping of motor vehicles. <br /> <br />SECTION 9210.27. Gross Floor Area. <br /> <br /> The floor area included within the surrounding walls of a building, exclu- <br />sive of vent shafts. <br /> <br />SECTION 9210.28. Guest House. <br /> <br /> Living quarters within an accessory building for the use of persons employed <br />on the premises, or for the temporary use by guests of the occupants of the main <br />building, and'having no kitchen facilities and not rented or otherwise used as a <br />dwelling unit. <br /> <br />SECTION 9210.29. Home Occupation. <br /> <br /> An occupation conducted within a main or accessory building by the occupant of <br />the dwelling as a secondary use, provided that there is no advertising, no display, <br />no stock in trade, no commodity sold on the premises, no person employed and no <br />mechanical equipment utilizing more than one horsepower per unit of equipment except <br />such mechanical equipment as is necessary for housekeeping purposes, and which does <br />not alter the character of the dwelling, as a dwelling. <br /> <br />SECTION 9210.30. Hospital. <br /> <br /> Any institution, place, building or agency which maintains and operates organ- <br />ized facilities for the diagnosis, care and treatment of human illness, including <br />convalescence and including care during and after pregnancy or which maintains and <br />operates organized facilities for any such purpose and to which persons may be ad- <br />mitted for overnight stay or longer.
