ORDINANCE NO. NS-649 AMENDING ARTICLE IX <br />OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO CHANGE <br />DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION ON AMENDMENT <br />APPLICATION NO. 431 AND AMENDING SECTIONAL <br />DISTRICT MAP 12-5-10 (EXHIBIT AA 431 B) <br />WHERE THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED <br />DENIAL <br /> <br /> WHERF2%S, the Planning Commission has given notice of and <br />duly held a public hearing on amendment Application No. 431 filed <br />by ROBERT G. MAWHINNEY for a change in District classification <br />from the R-2 District to the R-3H District, and the Planning <br />Commission has recommended denial of said change; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council regularly held a public hearing <br />on notice and does now find that the public necessity, convenience <br />and general welfare require that the Planning Co~nission be over- <br />ruled; that the property in question be reclassified from the R-2 <br />District to the R-3 and R-3H Districts in accordance with Exhibit <br />AA 431 B; and that the use under the new classifications will not <br />be detrimental to the surrounding property. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That the real property in the City of Santa Aha, <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />Parcel t: Beginning at a point where the center line of <br />Washington Avenue intersects the center line of Flower <br />Street; thence Northerly along the center line of Flower <br />Street for a distance of 766.8 feet, more or less, to <br />that point where the center line of Flower Street inter- <br />sects the center line of Fifteenth Street; thence Easterly <br />along the center line of Fifteenth Street for a distance <br />of 144 feet, more or less; thence Southerly along a line <br />approximately parallel to the center line of Flower Street <br />for a distance of 616.8 feet, more or less; thence <br />Westerly along a line approximately parallel to the center <br />line of Washington Avenue for a distance of 14 feet, more <br />or less; thence Southerly along a line approximately <br />parallel to the center line of Flower Street for a distance <br />of 150 feet, more or less, to the center line of Washington <br />Avenue; thence Westerly along the center line of Washington <br />Avenue for a distance of 130 feet, more or less, to the <br />point of beginning, <br /> <br />is hereby reclassified from the R-2 District to the R-3 District, <br />and Sectional District Map 12-5-10 (Exhibit AA 431 B) is hereby <br />amended to show said reclassification. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That the real property in the City of Santa Ana, <br />County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br />Parcel 2: Beginning at a point on the center line of <br />Washington Avenue located 130 feet,"more.~Dr less, Easterly <br />from that point where the center line of Washington Avenue <br />intersects the center line of Flower Street; thence Northerly <br />along a line approximately parallel to the center line of <br />Flower Street, the same being the Easterly boundary line of <br />Parcel 1 hereinabove described, for a distance of 150 feet, <br />more or less; thence Easterly along a line approximately <br />parallel to the center line of Washington Avenue, the same <br />being the boundary line of Parcel 1 hereinabove described, <br />for a distance of 14 feet, more or less; thence Northerly <br />along a line approximately parallel to the center line of <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
