ORDINANCE NS-690 DECLARING THE ANNEXATION OF <br />TERRITORY DESIGNATED "BRISTOL STREET AND <br />GARDEN GROVE FREEWAY SOUTHEAST ANNEX" <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 5th, 1963, the City Council of the City <br />of Santa Aha declared its intention to annex uninhabited territory <br />by Resolution 63-137, which said Resolution was regularly published <br />as required by law and gave notice of a protest hearing to be held <br />September 16th, 1963, which hearing was regularly held; after final <br />adjournment of said hearing on protests it was found and declared <br />by Resolution 63-156 that a majority protest had not been made. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That it finds and declares that said territory <br />hereinbelow described was uninhabited at the time Resolution 63-137 <br />was adopted initiating this proceeding; was contiguous to the City <br />of Santa Aha, and shall not be taxed to pay any indebtedness of the <br />City existing at the time of this annexation. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That all of the territory situated in the County <br />of Orange, State of California, and described as: <br /> <br />commencing at the center line intersection of Memory Lane <br />(Garden Grove Boulevard) and Bristol Street, said center <br />line intersection being the Southwest corner of Lot 14 of <br />the Ports, Borden and Sidwell Tract as shown on a map <br />thereof recorded in Book 4, Page 624, Miscellaneous Records <br />of LOS Angeles County, California, and running thence North <br />0° 14' 50" East along the center line of said Bristol Street, <br />as said center line was established by a deed conveyed to <br />the County of Orange, recorded in Book 2750, Page 366, <br />Official Records of Orange County, a distance of 535.92 feet <br />to the intersection of said center line of Bristol Street <br />with the existing City boundary of the City of Santa Ana, as <br />said boundary was established by the "Bristol Street and <br />Memory Lane N. Annex", Ordinance No. NS 479, to the City of <br />Santa Ana, and to the true Point of beqinnin~; thence along <br />the following eleven courses which are along the existing <br />City of Santa Aha boundary; thence South 89v 53' 50" East, <br />a distance of 587.78 feet to the West line of the "Memory <br />Lane and Baker North No. 2 Annex", Ordinance No. NS 451, to <br />said City; thence North 0~ 01' 50" East along said West line <br />a distance of 64.08 feet to the North line of said "Memor~ <br />Lane and Baker Street North No. 2 Annex"; thence South 89v <br />53' 50" East along said North line and along the North line <br />of the "Memory Lane and Westwood North Annex", Ordinance <br />NS 568, to said City, a distance of 738.00 feet to the West <br />line of the "Spurgeon Memorial Annex", Ordinance No. NS 111, <br />to said City, and to the East line of said Lot 14; thence <br />North 0° 01' 50" East along said East line of said Lot 14, a <br />distance of 60.98 feet to the North line of said "Spurgeon <br />Memorial Annex"; thence South 89° 59' 55" East along said <br />last mentioned North line and along the North line of the <br />"Christesen Annexation", Ordinance No. NS 32, to said City, <br />a distance of 1,146.43 feet, more or less, to the West line <br />of the "North Flower Addition" annexation, Ordinance No. 874, <br />said West line being 180.00 feet West, measured at right <br />angles, fr~ the monumented center line of Flower Street, <br />said North line of the "Christesen Annexation" being the <br />North line of Tract No. 2089, as shown on a map thereof <br />recorded in Book 60, Pages 6, 7, and 8, Miscellaneous Maps, <br />Records of Orange County, California; thence North 00 12' 40" <br />West along said last mentioned West line a distance of 660.95 <br />feet, more or less, to the South line of the "Schulman <br /> <br /> <br />
