ORDINANCE NS-782 AMENDING PART 3, CHAPTER 2, <br />OF ARTICLE IX OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE <br />TO AMEND THE LM (LIMITED MANUFACTURING) DISTRICT <br />REGULATIONS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, after recommendation of the Planning Commission, the <br />City Council, after public hearing on notice, has determined that <br />the public necessity, convenience and general welfare require the <br />following amendments to those sections of the Zoning Ordinance setting <br />forth the provisions of the LM (Limited Manufacturing) District. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That Sections 9230.320 through 9230.327, both <br />inclusive, of the Santa Ana Municipal Code are hereby amended to read <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Section 9230.320. LM (Limited Manufacturinq District). <br /> <br />Section 9230.321. Purpose. <br /> The purpose of the I~! District is to provide for orderly, spacious, <br />and landscaped industrial developments free of obnoxious uses. <br /> <br />Section 9230.322. Uses Permitted. <br /> (a) Any use unconditionally permitted in the MI District. <br /> (b) Any professional use unconditionally permitted in the <br />P District. <br /> (c) Any other use which, in the opinion of the Planning <br />Commission, will prove compatible with the aforementioned permitted <br />uses. <br /> <br />Section 9230.323. Operational Standards. <br /> (a) Any activity permitted in this District shall be conducted <br />in a manner creating no nuisance to adjacent property, such as, but <br />not limited to, vibration, sound, electro-mechanical disturbance <br />and radiation, electro-magnetic distu=bance, radiation, air or water <br />pollution, dust, emission of odorous, toxic or noxious matter. Ail <br />lighting is to be shielded and confined within property lines. <br /> <br /> (b) Ail materials, supplies, products, and equipment stored <br />outside of a building shall be completely screened from the view of <br />any street or adjacent properties. <br /> (c) All loading shall be visually screened from primary streets. <br />On other than primary streets streetside loading shall be allowed <br />providing the loading dock ~ set back a minim~ of 70 feet from the <br />street right of way line. <br /> (d) Railroad trackage shall be allowed on any side but the <br />street side of a building. If railroad trackage and loading are <br />located other than at the rear of a building area, complete screening <br />from the street shall be provided. <br /> <br /> (e) Signs. <br /> <br />(1) Signs may be lighted, but no signs or any other contrivance <br /> shall be devised or constructed so as to rotate, gyrate, <br /> blink or move in any animated fashion. <br />(2) Signs shall be restricted to advertising only the person, <br /> firm, c~upany or corporation operating the use conducted <br /> on the site or the products produced or sold thereon. <br /> <br /> <br />
