SECTION 8811.1. Access to Forced Air Type Central Furnaces. <br /> Subsection 704(f) is amended to read as follows: <br /> (f) An unobstructed level working space not less than thirty <br /> (30) inches in depth and five (5) feet in height for upright <br /> furnaces and thirty (30) inches in height for horizontal <br /> furnaces shall be provided along each side of every furnace in <br /> which a firebox access opening is located. A door opening into <br /> such space shall not be considered as an obstruction. <br /> <br />SECTION 8812. ~nstallation of Comfort Coolinq. <br /> Subsection 804(h) is amended by changing the last sentence to <br />read as follows: <br /> <br /> However, in no case shall such water be spilled on any <br /> street, highway, or adjacent property, or into any potable <br /> water source. <br /> <br />SECTION 8812.1. Installation of Comfort Coolinq. <br /> Section 804 is amended by adding subsection (i) to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> (i) Heat pumps or cooling coils located above a finished <br /> ceiling shall have an auxiliary drip pan installed at least <br /> two (2) inches below the entire unit. The pan shall be no less <br /> than six (6) inches larger than the unit, two (2) inches in <br /> depth, 26 ga. galvanized iron. Each pan drain shall be separate <br /> from the unit drain. <br /> <br />SECTION 8813. Location of Comfort Coolinq. <br /> Paragraph 1 of Section 805(c) is amended by changing the last <br /> sentence to read as follows: <br /> Ladders shall lead directly or by cleated walkway to the <br /> cooling unit. <br /> <br />SECTION 8813.1. Location of Comfort Cooling. <br /> Paragraph 2 of Section 805(c) is amended to read as follows: <br /> 2. No portion of any comfort cooling system shall be installed <br /> closer than five (5) feet to the property line nor within thirty <br /> (30) inches horizontally of a vertical projection of a wall or <br /> bank, nor less than ten (10) feet from an air intake or <br /> discharge grill louver or duct opening. <br /> <br />SECTION 8814. Circulatinq Air For Comfort Cool,hq. <br /> Sub-paragraph 2a of Section 806(a) is amended to read as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> a. Within ten (10) feet of any combustion products vent or <br /> chimney outlet unless three (3) feet or more below such outlet. <br /> <br />SECTION 8815. Ventilation Air for Comfort Coolinq. <br /> Sub-paragraph lb of Section 806(b) is amended to read as <br />follows: <br /> (b) Mechanical Ventilation - Where the net free cross- <br /> sectional area of available natural ventilation is less than <br /> 1/16 of the floor area, a mechanical ventilating supply system <br /> or a mechanical ventilating exhaus% system or combination of the <br /> two shall be installed and shall deliver seven (7) cubic feet of <br /> outside air per minute per person in addition to the requirements <br /> of paragraph 806(a) 1. <br /> <br />-27- <br /> <br /> <br />
