SECTION 13: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended by adding Section 8-370 thereto to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-370. Clotheswashers (Laundry tubs). <br /> <br /> Table 4-1 of the Uniform plumbing Code, 1967 Edition, <br />is amended by deleting the words "Laundry tubs or" in the <br />ninth line of the table. <br /> <br /> SECTION 14: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended by adding Section 8-372 thereto to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-372. Cleanouts. <br /> <br />Section 406(a) of the Uniform Plumbing Code, 1967 Edition, <br />is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> (a) Each horizontal drainage pipe and each horizontal <br />under floor vent over five (5) feet in length shall be <br />provided with a cleanout at its upper terminal except <br />sinks and urinals which shall have cleanouts at all upper <br />terminals. Except that cleanouts may be omitted on each <br />horizontal drainage pipe installed on a slope of seventy- <br />two (72) degrees or less from the vertical (angle of 1/5 <br />bend), and each such run of piping which is more than <br />one hundred (100) feet in total developed length shall be <br />provided with a cleanout for each one hundred (100) feet <br />or fraction thereof, in length of such piping; provided, <br />however, that excepting the building drain and its hori- <br />zontal branches, a cleanout shall not be required on any <br />pipe or piping which is above the first floor of the <br />building. <br /> <br /> An approved type of two-way cleanout fitting installed <br />outside of a building at the lower end of a building <br />drain and extended to grade may be substituted for an <br />upper terminal cleanout. <br /> <br /> SECTION 15: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended by adding Section 8-374 thereto to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-374. Cleanouts. <br /> <br />Section 406(i) of the Uniform Plumbing Code, 1967 Edition, <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> (i) Cleanouts shall be provided for pressure drainage <br />systems as classified under Section 409(g). <br /> <br /> SECTION 16. That the Santa Ana Municipal code is hereby <br />amended by adding Section 8-380 thereto to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-380. Vents Not Required. <br /> <br /> Section 502 of the Uniform Plumbing Code, 1967 Edition, <br />is hereby amended by deleting subsection (c). <br /> <br /> SECTION 17. That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended by adding Section 8-390 thereto to read as follows: <br /> <br /> Sec. 8-390. Shower Stalls. <br /> <br /> Subsection 909(e) of the Uniform Plumbing code, 1967 Edition, <br /> is hereby amended by deleting the words "having each layer" <br /> in the last sentence of the third paragraph. <br /> <br /> SECTION 18. That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended by amending Section 8-400 thereof to read as follows: <br /> Sec. 8-400.
