(c) Entrance doorways providing access to the premises from the exterior shall be provided with exterior illumina- tion suitably located. The illuminating source shall be controlled by an interior switch conveniently located near the doorway. NOTE: The intent of the above is not to provide a light and switch at every door, but only to provide adequate illumination for normal egress and ingress at all doors. SECTION 35: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended by repealing and re-enacting Section 8-826 thereof to read as follows: Sec. 8-826. SECTION 38: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended by amending Section 8-896 thereof to read as follows: Sec. 8-896. Overcurrent Protection. Section 240-16 of the National Electrical Code, 1968 Edition, is hereby amended to read as follows: 240-16. Location in Premises. Overcurrent devices shall be located where they will be: (a) readily accessible, except as provided in Section 230- 91 and 230-92 for service equipment and Section 364-11 for busways; (b) not exposed to physical damage; (c) not in the vicinity of easily ignitable materials; and (d) branch circuit protective devices shall be installed in and for each occupancy. -18-
