Section 38-2a. - Same-Prohibition <br /> <br />No person shall operate an ambulance, motorbus or <br />taxicab as a vehicle for hire upon the streets of <br />the City unless that vehicle has been affixed with <br />the appropriate sticker or device evidencing that <br />it is authorized to operate within the City of <br />Santa Ana as a vehicle for hire. <br /> <br />Section 38-3 - Same-Application. <br /> <br />An application for a Certificate of Public Conve- <br />nience and Necessity shall be filed with the Clerk <br />of the Council, be verified under penalty of per- <br />jury, be accompanied by a fee in the amount of <br />one hundred dollars ($100.00), and shall contain <br />the following information: <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />The name, age, residence, and business <br />address, driver's license number, and <br />present occupation of the person apply- <br />ing for such license. If the applicant <br />is a partnership or association, the names, <br />ages, residence addresses, driver's license <br />numbers, and occupations of all partners <br />shall be given, and if the applicant is <br />a corporation, the names, ages, residence <br />addresses, driver's license numbers, and <br />occupations of all officers, directors <br />stockholders thereof shall be given in <br />addition to the value and number of <br />shares owned and issued to each. <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />A sworn financial statement of the ap- <br />plicant prepared by a certified public <br />accountant with audit if an individual <br />or corporation, or, if an association <br />or partnership, a sworn ~inancial state- <br />ment of each of the persons financially <br />interested in the business; a statement <br />as to whether or not the applicant or any <br />of the persons herein mentioned has any <br />unpaid judgments standing against him, <br />and if so, the nature of the transaction <br />or acts giving rise to such judgments, <br />the court in which the same were render- <br />ed, and the amount of each unpaid or un- <br />bonded judgment; a statement of any <br />bankruptcies either personal or business <br />of the applicant including the nurflber, <br />court and the date of discharge. <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />The experience of the applicant, both in <br />the City of Santa Ana and elsewhere, in <br />the operation of ambulances, motorbuses, <br />or taxicabs or other common carriers for <br />the transportation of passengers. <br /> <br />(4) <br /> <br />The facts which applicant believes tend <br />to establish that public convenience and <br />necessity require the granting of a <br />certificate. <br /> <br />- 4 - <br /> <br /> <br />
