NS- 1280 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SANTA ANA AMENDING SECTION 2-742 OF THE <br />SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL CODE TO DELETE SPECIFIED <br />CHARGES FOR POLICE SERVICES <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That Section 2-742 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 2-742. Rental Rates. <br /> <br /> (a) The rental rates for the stadium for an event as <br />to which no admission charge or free will offering is taken (to <br />cover school practices, graduation exercises, band practices, <br />rehearsals, or similar uses) shall be: <br /> <br />Night use requiring flood lights $20.00 per hour <br /> <br />Day use <br /> <br />10.00 per hour <br /> <br />Dressing rooms <br /> <br />25.00 for each <br /> occasion <br /> <br /> (b) Rental for a scholastic or a charitable event, for <br />which an admission charge is made or a free will offering <br />is taken, shall be a minimum of two hundred twenty-five dollars <br />($225.00) each day, three hundred twenty-five dollars ($325.00) <br />each night, or fifteen per cent (15%) of the gross value of all <br />tickets sold for the event, whichever is greater; provided, how- <br />ever, there shall be no rental fee upon receipts in excess of <br />the first fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000.00) on any one game, <br />exhibition, athletic event or other use. <br /> <br /> (c) The rental for a single commercial event for which <br />an admission charge is made, shall be a minimum of two hundred <br />twenty-five dollars ($225.00) each day, three hundred twenty- <br />five dollars ($325.00) for each night, or fifteen per cent (15%) <br />of the gross value of all tickets sold for the event, whichever <br />is greater; provided, however, there shall be no rental fee upon <br />receipts in excess of the first thirty thousand dollars ($30,000.00) <br />on any one game, exhibition, athletic event or other use. <br /> <br /> (d) The rental for a series of commercial events, ex- <br />tending over a period not to exceed one year, may be negotiated <br />by the city manager, and, upon approval thereof by the city <br />council, may be the subject of a contract. Any such contract <br />shall specify the dates for which the stadium is rented and the <br />rental to be paid therefor to the city, said agreed rental to <br />be paid in advance. <br /> <br /> (e) Whenever a show, athletic event, or other activity <br />consists of more than one performance, each performance (as dis- <br />tinguished from act) shall constitute a separate event within <br />the terms of this schedule. <br /> <br /> <br />
