ORDINANCE NO. NS- 1346 <br />PAGE TWO <br /> <br /> SECTION 7: That said General Municipal Election is held <br />to fill the offices for the terms as follows: <br /> Four (4) members of the City Council, to be <br /> nominated from Wards One, Three, Five and Seven <br /> and to be elected at large by the electors of <br /> the City, the term of each to begin on April <br /> 12, 1977, or as soon thereafter as the result <br /> of said Election can be declared, and to hold <br /> office until the second Tuesday of April, 1981. <br /> SECTION 8: That said General Municipal Election shall <br />also be held for the purpose of submitting to the electors of the <br />City a proposed amendment of the City Charter by which sections <br />400, 400.1, 403, 1201, 1203, and 1204 thereof shall be amended to <br />authorize the City Council to consolidate general municipal elections <br />with other elections and establish an election date earlier than <br />the first Tuesday in April for purposes of such consolidation; to <br />retain the second Tuesday in April as the beginning date for terms <br />of office whether or not such earlier election date is established, <br />and to eliminate obsolete references to cities of the sixth class. <br /> ADOPTED, this 25th day of January , 1977 <br /> <br /> by the following vote, to w~-~: <br /> <br /> AYES, COUNCILMEN: Brandt, 0rtiz, Yamamoto, Evans,Ward <br /> <br />NOES, <br /> <br />ABSENT, <br /> <br />COUNCILMEN: None <br /> <br />COUNCILMEN: Bricken, Garthe <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br /> <br />KEITH L.
