ORDINANCE NO. NS- 1394 <br />PAGE THIRTY <br /> <br />Sec. 32-78. Inspection of Ambulances - Safety Equipment. <br /> <br />Ail ambulances operating within the city shall maintain in <br />working order all safety equipment pursuant to Article 13, <br />section 1102(b) of the California Administrative Code and <br />the rules and regulations issued by the fire chief pursuant <br />to this article. The fire chief or his designated represent- <br />ative shall have the right to inspect such ambulances upon <br />demand. Failure to maintain such equipment in working order <br />shall be cause for immediate suspension and/or revocation of <br />the ambulance permit by the fire chief. <br /> <br />Sec. 32-79. Rules and Regulations. <br /> <br />The fire chief shall issue from time to time as he deems <br />necessary, rules and regulations to implement the provisions <br />of this article. Such rules and regulations shall have the <br />force of law, and the failure to obey same shall be considered <br />a violation of the provisions of this chapter. <br /> <br />Sec. 32-80. Emergency Service Sectors. <br /> <br />The fire chief may divide the City into such sectors as he <br />deems appropriate and assign holders of certificates to such <br />sectors as necessary for purposes of receiving emergency calls <br />from the City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />Section 2: <br /> <br />That Chapter 38 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />repealed. <br /> <br />Section 3: <br /> <br />If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion <br />of this ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid or un- <br />constitutional by the decision of any court of competent <br />jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of <br />the remaining portions of this ordinance. The City Council <br />of the City of Santa Ana hereby declares that it would have <br />adopted this ordinance and each section, subsection, sentence, <br />clause, phrase or portions thereof irrespective of the fact that <br />any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses, <br />phrases or portions be declared invalid or unconstitutional. <br /> <br />Section 4: <br /> <br />Neither the adoption of this ordinance nor the repeal hereby <br />of any ordinance shall in any manner affect the prosecution <br />for violation of ordinances, which violations were committed <br />prior to the effective date hereof, nor be construed as <br />affecting any of the provisions of such ordinance relating <br /> <br /> <br />
