ORDINANCE NO. NS- 1394 <br />PAGE TWENTY~NINE <br /> <br />Sec. 32-75.1. Same - Disqualification of Ambulances. <br /> <br />In the event any ambulance is, for any reason, disqualified <br />under the terms and provisions of this chapter from operat~ <br />lng as such, all such signs or equipment provided by this <br />chapter, and any other device or insignia indicating that <br />such vehicle is qualified for operations as an ambulance, <br />including but not limited to, red lights and siren shall be <br />removed immediately from such vehicle, and any person fail- <br />ing to remove the same after disqualification shall be guilty <br />of a misdemeanor. <br /> <br />Sec. 32-75.2. Same - Imitations prohibited. <br /> <br />No ambulance operating under the terms of this chapter shall <br />bear a color scheme, identifying design, monogram or insignia <br />which conflicts with or imitates any color scheme, identifying <br />design, monogram or insignia used on the ambulances of any <br />other holder of a certificate in such a manner as to be mis- <br />leading or tend to deceive or defraud the public. <br /> <br />Sec. 32-76. Rates to be filed. <br /> <br />Every holder of a certificate shall file or cause to be filed <br />with the fire chief a true and correct statement of the rates <br />to be charged for the transportation of passengers in any and <br />all ambulances operated by said holder, and such holder shall <br />not change or modify said rates in any manner unless he shall <br />have first filed with and received the written permission of <br />the fire chief to do so. <br /> <br />Sec. 32-76.1. Same - Restitution. <br /> <br />The person or the employer of a person, responsible for any <br />charge, other than that authorized by this chapter, shall be <br />required to make restitution jointly and severally to any <br />overcharged patron for the amount of the overcharge. <br /> <br />Sec. 32-77. Illegal Solicitations. <br /> <br />No ambulance owner, operator, attendant, or driver shall <br />solicit passengers at the scene of an accident unless the <br />same has been summoned by telephone communication, except as <br />may otherwise be directed by a peace officer, and no ambu- <br />lance shall go to the scene of an accident discovered by <br />monitoring short wave police calls. <br /> <br /> <br />
