NS-1546 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />REPEALING SECTIONS 36-133, 36-141, 36-194, <br />36-195 AND 36-196 OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL <br />CODE, AND AMENDING SECTIONS 36-132, 36-142, <br />36-143 AND 36-193 OF THE SANTA ANA MUNICIPAL <br />CODE, PERTAINING TO REGULATION OF ON-STREET <br />PARKING AND ONE-WAY STREETS. <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES <br />ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1: That Sections 36-133, <br />36-195 and 36-196 of the Santa Aha Municipal <br />repealed. <br /> <br />36-141, 35-194, <br /> Code are hereby <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That Section 36-132 of the Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 36-132. <br /> <br />No Parking Zones <br /> <br /> The Director of Public Works is authorized to <br />place signs or markings prohibiting stopping, standing, or <br />parking at all times or during certain hours of the day on <br />any portion of any street within the City where the Council <br />so directs by resolution, or where engineering studies have <br />been made and the Director of Public Works determines that <br />such signs or markings are necessary to facilitate the safe <br />and orderly movement of traffic. Such restrictions may be <br />limited so as not to apply on specified days. <br /> <br /> When a sign or marking giving notice of such a <br />restriction is in place, no person shall stop, stand or park <br />any vehicle in violation of such sign or marking. <br /> <br /> Police officers are authorized to remove a vehicle <br />from the roadway when such vehicle is stopped, standing or <br />parked in violation of this Section, provided that a sign <br />giving notice that the vehicle may be removed has been <br />posted. <br /> <br /> SECTION 3. That Section 36-142 of the Santa Ana <br />Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 36-142. <br /> <br />Time Limit Parkin9 <br /> <br /> The Director of Public Works is authorized to <br />place signs or markings prohibiting parking in excess of <br />twelve (12) minutes, twenty-four (24) minutes, one (1) hour, <br />or two (2) hours, between nine o'clock (9:00) a.m. and six <br />o'clock (6:00) p.m., on any portion of any street within the <br />City, where the Council so directs by resolution, or where <br />the Director of Public Works determines that such <br />restriction is necessary to accommodate the public demand <br />for short-term parking. Such restrictions may be limited so <br />as not to apply on specified days. <br /> <br /> When <br />restriction is <br />leave the same <br />period of time <br /> <br />a sign or marking giving notice of such a <br />in place, no person shall park any vehicle or <br />parked, whether attended or unattended, for a <br />longer than set out on said sign or marking. <br /> <br /> <br />
