ORDINANCE NO. N$-1546 PAGE TWO SECTION 4. That Section 36-143 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 36-143. Continuing Violations: Additional Offenses Every person violating a sign or marking placed in accordance with the provisions of Sections 36-138, 36-142, 36-147, or 36-147.1 which prohibits parking for longer than a specified period of time is guilty of a separate and further violation for each period of time that the vehicle is left so parked, equal to the maximum legal parking time specified by such sign marking. SECTION 5. That Section 36-193 of Article VI, Chapter 36 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 36-193. One-Way Streets and Alleys. The Director of Public Works is authorized to post signs and official traffic control devices restricting vehicular traffic to one direction only, at all times or during certain hours of the day, on any portion of any alley, street, or specific lane on any street within the City where the Council so directs by resolution, or where engineering studies have been made and where the Director of Public Works determines that it is necessary to facilitate the safe and orderly movement of traffic. When a sign or official traffic control device giving notice that vehicular traffic is so restricted is place, no person shall operate a vehicle in violation of such sign. in SECTION 6. If any section, subsection, clause, phrase or'portion of this Ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby declares that it would have adopted this Ordinance and each section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion thereof irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses, phrases or portions be declared invalid or unconstitutional. SECTION 7. Neither the adoption of this Ordinance nor the repeal hereby of any Ordinance shall in any manner affect the prosecution for violation of Ordinances which violations were committed prior to the effective date hereof nor be construed as affecting any of the provisions of said Ordinance relating to the collection of any such license or
