ORDINANCE NO. NS- 1548 <br />PAGE TWO <br /> <br />provided, each unit within the project shall <br />have at least eighty (80) cubic feet of <br />enclosed, weatherproof and lockable private <br />storage place at a single location. <br /> <br />(c) If the storage of boats, trailers, <br /> recreational vehicles and similar <br /> vehicles is to be permitted within <br /> the complex, an area shall be <br /> specifically designated for such <br /> storage and shall be screened from <br /> adjacent areas by a combination of a <br /> six-foot high masonry wall and <br /> appropriate landscaping. <br /> <br />(d) Exposed television antennas for <br /> individual dwelling units shall not <br /> be permitted. <br /> <br />(e) Electric power and gas ~ervices mu~t be sep- <br /> arately metered for each dwelling unit. <br /> <br />(f) Ail utility service lines must be in- <br /> stalled underground. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code, <br />is hereby amended by adding a section, to be numbered 34- <br />313.5, which said section reads as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 34-313.5. Private water meters. <br /> <br /> Unless separate municipally-owned meters for water <br />service for each dwelling unit are installed, the following <br />conditions must be satisfied: <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />Common area water usage must be metered <br />separately from dwelling unit water usage. <br />Meters providing such separation may be <br />either municipally-owned or, subject to <br />the approval of the director of public <br />works as to type, owned by the associated <br />owners in common. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />The assessment of each dwelling unit for <br />that unit's proportion of each water bill <br />shall be the sum of that unit's share of <br />aggregate common area usage and that unit's <br />share of aggregate dwelling unit usage. <br />The aggregate common area assessment shall <br />bear the same proportion to the total water <br />bill as metered common area usage bears to <br />to total metered project usage, and the <br />aggregate dwelling unit assessment shall <br />be the remainder of the water bill. <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />Each dwelling unit's share of the aggregate <br />common area assessment shall be determined <br />by dividing such aggregate assessment by <br />the total number of dwelling units. <br /> <br />(d) <br /> <br />Each dwelling unit's share of the ag- <br />gregate dwelling unit assessment shall <br />be determined by: <br /> <br /> <br />
