NS- 1721 <br />PAGE TWELVE <br /> <br /> (b) The change of copy on a sign, or the substitution <br />of one sign for another, shall not require an amendment to a <br />planned signed program if the change or substitution is <br />limited in effect to changing the identification of a bus- <br />iness activity only, and the new or altered sign conforms in <br />all other respects to the approved planned sign program. <br /> <br />DIVISION 6 <br /> <br />SIGN STANDARDS AND REGULATIONS <br /> <br />Sec. 41-1000 Prohibited signs <br /> <br /> (a) No permit shall be issued for a sign of any of the <br />following types and descriptions. <br /> <br /> (1) Any sign which is reasonably likely to be <br />dangerous or confusing to motorists on the public right-of- <br />way, including any sign which by its color, wording, design <br />location or illumination resembles or conflicts with any <br />official traffic control device or which impedes the safe <br />and efficient flow of traffic. <br /> <br /> (2) Any sign incorporating mechanical movement or <br />any flashing, moving, or intermittent lighting, other than a <br />sign providing a time-and-temperature or similar public <br />service display. <br /> <br /> (3) Any sign which projects above the top of a <br />building. <br /> <br /> (4) Any commercial advertising sign on a vehicle <br />which is not excluded from the scope of this Article by <br />Section 41-851. <br /> <br /> (5) Signs which impede free exit from any building <br />in the event of an emergency. <br /> <br /> (b) No permit shall be issued for a sign of any of the <br />following types and descriptions except as part of a planned <br />signed program approved pursuant to Division 5 of this <br />Article. <br /> <br /> (1) Signs designed to accommodate readily change- <br />able advertisements. <br /> <br /> (2) Advertising displays, unless permitted pur- <br />suant to Section 41-1010. <br /> <br /> <br />
