Sign area. ~ <br /> <br />"Sign area" means: <br /> <br /> (a) When used with reference to a sign having one or <br />more faces containing the items o.f information displayed on <br />the sign: The area included within parallel vertical and <br />horizontal lines encompassing the extremities of each face; <br />provided, however, that with respect to any multiple-faced <br />sign, only the maximum number of faces viewable from any one <br />direction at one time shall be included in the determination <br />of the area of the sign. <br /> <br /> (b) When used with reference to a sign consisting of <br />physically distinct letters or other symbols: the sum of the <br />areas of each such letter or symbol, each such area being <br />that included within parallel vertical and horizontal lines <br />encompassing the extremities of the letter or symbol. <br /> <br />Sec. 41-873. Signable area. <br /> <br /> "Signable area" means the area of the largest rectang- <br />ular portion of a face of a building, to which portion a <br />sign is affixed Or proposed to be affixed, which can be <br />included within parallel vertical and horizontal lines with- <br />out being interrupted by significant architectural features <br />of the building. <br /> <br />Sec. 41-874. Site. <br /> <br /> "Site" means a unit of land, together with all improve- <br />ments thereon, determined as follows: <br /> <br /> (a) Except for land subject to paragraph (b) herein- <br />below, any unit of land which may be con~yed separately <br />from any and all adjacent land without the requirement of <br />approval of a tentative map pursuant to the Subdivision Map <br />Act and Chapter 34 of this Code; <br /> <br /> (b) Ail the land used <br />development to which one of <br />applies: <br /> <br />for a~y existing or proposed <br />the following descriptions <br /> <br /> <br />
