Board of Appeals (Section 2.302). <br /> <br /> Section 2~302 of the Uniform Fire Code is amended to <br />as follows: <br /> <br /> The Uniform Code appeals board shall have the <br />power and be required to hear appeals regarding the <br />fire chief's denial of, or refusal to grant, any <br />application for a permit required under any provision <br />of the fire code, the determination of the suitability <br />of alternative materials and types of construction, <br />and the reasonable interpretation of the provisions <br />in the event of a dispute. Any such appeal shall be <br />filed with the secretary for the Uniform Code appeals <br />board within ten (10) days from the date of the de- <br />cision being appealed. Any appeal, once filed, shall <br />be governed by the board's duly adopted procedural <br />rules and regulations. <br /> <br />Sec. 14-25. <br /> <br />Access Roadways for Fire Apparatus <br />(Section 10,207(a)). <br /> <br /> Section 10.207(a) of the Uniform Fire Code is amended <br />as follows: <br /> <br /> Every building or portions of buildings hereafter <br />constructed shall have fire apparatus access roadways. <br />Such access roadways shall provide two (2) separate <br />but interconnected means of ingress and egress. Access <br />shall be at least twenty (20) feet in clear width. A <br />forty-foot outside and twenty-f~ot inside radius shall <br />be provided wherever they make a turn. The total width <br />shall be continuously paved to accommodate forty thou- <br />sand (40,000) pounds and shall not exceed the angle of <br />departure for fire apparatus on any slope. Access road- <br />ways shall have a vertical clearance of not less than <br />thirteen (13) feet six (6) inches above the finished <br />driveway surface. <br /> <br />sec. 14-27.
