ORDINANCE NO. NS- 1745 Page Two SECTION 2: That Section 6-629 of the Santa Aha Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 6-629. Appointment, Removals, Vacancies. The members of the housing commission shall be appointed and may be removed and vacancies filled as pro- vided in Section 901 of the Charter of the City of Santa Aha. SECTION 3: That Section 6-630 of the Santa Aha Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 6-630. Terms of members. The terms of members of the housing commission, except for the tenant commissioners, shall be in accordance with Section 901 of the Charter of the City of Santa Ana. The tenant commissioners shall serve for terms of two years, from the date of their appointments, and their successors shall be tenants. Successors of tenant commissioners shall be appointed for a term of two (2) years. If a tenant commissioner ceases to be a tenant, he shall be disqualified as a commissioner and another tenant shall be appointed to fill the unexpired term. SECTION 4: If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby declares that it would have adopted this ordinance and each section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion thereof irrespective of the fact that any one or more section, subsections, sentences, clauses, phrases, or portions be declared invalid or unconstitutional. SECTION 5: Neither the adoption of this ordinance nor the repeal hereby of any ordinance shall in any manner affect the prosecution for violation of ordinances, which violations were committed prior to the effective date hereof, nor be construed as affecting any of the provisions of such ordinance relating to the collection of any such license or
