ORDINANCE NO. NS-1782 <br />PAGE TWO <br /> <br /> (5) Blue curb markings or a sign consisting of a <br />profile view of a wheelchair with occupant in white on a <br />blue background posted immediately adjacent to and <br />visible from each parking space, indicates parking for <br />the exclusive use of physically handicapped persons <br />whose vehicles display either one of the distinguishing <br />license plates issued to disabled persons pursuant to <br />Section 22511.5 of the California Vehicle Code or to <br />disabled veterans, as specified in Section 9105 of the <br />California vehicle Code. <br /> <br />SECTION 2: That section 36-142 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 36-142. Time limit parking. <br /> <br /> "The Executive Director of the Public Services Agency is <br />authorized to place signs or markings prohibiting parking in ex- <br />cess of twelve (12) minutes, twenty-four (24) minutes, one (1) <br />hour, or two (2) hours on any portion of any street within the <br />City, for any time period up to and including twenty-four (24) <br />hours per day, where the council so directs by resolution, or <br />where the Executive Director of the Public Services Agency deter- <br />mines that such restriction is necessary to accommodate the public <br />demand for short-term parking. Such restrictions may be limited so <br />as not to apply on specified days. <br /> <br /> When a sign or marking giving notice of such a <br />restriction is in place, no person shall park any vehicle or leave <br />the same parked, whether attended or unattended, for a period of <br />time longer than set out on said sign or marking." <br /> <br />SECTION 3: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended <br />by adding a Section to Chapter 36, Article IV to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 36-133. No parking or standing - street sweeping. <br /> <br /> (a) No operator of any motor vehicle, and no person who <br />owns or has possession, custody or control of any vehicle <br />shall stop, stand or park such vehicle upon any street in the <br />City that is designated as to days and times for street <br />sweeping during the time period parking is prohibited for <br />street sweeping. <br /> <br /> <br />
