013 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. NS-1782 <br />PAGE THREE <br /> <br /> (b) The Executive Director of the Public Services <br />Agency is hereby authorized to determine the locations of and <br />to place and maintain, or cause to be placed and maintained, <br />signs designating the hours during which, and day or days of <br />the month on which, parking is prohibited in order to permit <br />City equipment to sweep the streets. <br /> <br />SECTION 4: That section 36-147 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 36-147. Parking on city property. <br /> <br /> Whenever the Executive Director of the Public Services <br />Agency shall determine that parking or standing of vehicles on <br />City property be prohibited, limited or restricted in any manner, <br />including the issuing of permits for overnight parking, the Execu- <br />tive Director of the Public Services Agency shall have the power <br />and authority to order signs to be erected or posted indicating <br />that the parking of vehicles is thus prohibited, limited or re- <br />stricted. When signs authorized by the provisions of this section <br />are in place, giving notice thereof, no person shall park or stand <br />a vehicle contrary to the directions of such signs, and any vehi- <br />cle parked in violation of such signs may be towed to a public <br />storage garage at the expense of the owner of such vehicle; or the <br />police department may, and it is granted authority to, issue a <br />citation in the usual form and manner for any violation of the <br />prohibition, limitation or restriction indicated by such signs or <br />for any violation of the provisions of this article. Any parking, <br />movement or ranking of any vehicle on any city-owned parking lot, <br />whether open to the public or restricted to certain classes of <br />vehicles, which is in violation of the language of subsections (1) <br />through (9), (12) and (13) of section 36-142 is declared to be in <br />violation of this article and shall be treated as though the lan- <br />guage of said sections were set forth in full hereinafter. <br /> <br />SECTION 5: That section 36-147.1 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 36-147.1. <br /> <br />Parking on property of Community Redevelopment <br />Agency or property of~joint powers agencies of <br />which city is a member. <br /> <br /> (a) Whenever the city has entered into a joint powers <br />agreement with any other public entity, section 36-147 of <br /> <br /> <br />
