NS-1805 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA <br />ADDING SECTION 33-10 TO THE SANTA ANA <br />MUNICIPAL CODE TO AUTHORIZE DIRECTIONAL <br />SIGNS IN THE PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR <br />PLACES OF PUBLIC ASSEMBLY <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended by adding a section, to be numbered 33-10, which said <br />section reads as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 33-10. <br /> <br />Directional signs for places <br />of public assembly <br /> <br /> (a) The Executive Director of the Public Services Agency <br />is authorized to provide for the installation in the public <br />right-of-way of signs which provide motorists with direction to <br />places of public assembly, including but not limited to churches <br />and other privately owned or operated places of public assembly, <br />subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />(1) The sign shall be installed by City personnel. <br /> <br /> (2) Ail costs of construction, installation, main- <br />tenance, repair replacement, relocation, and removal of <br />the sign shall be borne by the organization which owns <br />or operates the facility to which the sign pertains. <br /> <br /> (3) The sign shall be so located as to avoid any <br />interference with vehicular or pedestrian traffic or the <br />creation of any traffic hazard. <br /> <br />(4) Sign installation shall be limited to arterial <br />streets. <br /> <br /> (5) No more than two (2) signs shall be installed <br />for any single place of public assembly, and no more than <br />one (1) sign for any single such place of public assembly <br />shall be installed on any single street. <br /> <br /> <br />
