ORDINANCE NO. NS- 1810 <br />PAGE TWO <br /> <br />reads as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-558. permits--Required. (Sec. 301) <br /> <br /> Section 301 of the Mechanical Code is hereby amended to <br />read as follows: <br /> <br /> It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or <br />corporation to make any~installations, alterations, repair, <br />replacement or remodel any mechanical system regulated by <br />this code except as permitted in subsection (E) of this <br />section, or cause the same to be done without first obtaining <br />a separate mechanical permit for each separate building or <br />structure, each apartment unit, each condominium unit, each <br />office suite, and each unit in a commercial or industrial <br />building. <br /> <br />SECTION 3: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby amended <br />by adding a section, to be numbered 8-559, which said section <br />reads as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-559. Violations and penalties. <br /> <br /> Any person violating any provision of the Mechanical <br />Code shall be punished as provided in section 1-8 of the Santa Rna <br />Municipal Code, and in addition, all procedures for the correction <br />of illegal conditions shall apply. <br /> <br /> Each separate day or any portion thereof during which <br />any violation of this code occurs or continues shall be deemed to <br />constitute a separate offense, and upon conviction thereof shall <br />be punishable as herein provided. <br /> <br /> The issuance or granting of a permit or approval of <br />plans and specifications shall not be deemed or construed to be a <br />permit for, or an approval of, any violation of any of the <br />provisions of this code. No permit presuming to give authority to <br />violate or cancel the provisions of this code shall be valid, <br />except insofar as the work or use which it authorized is lawful. <br /> <br /> The issuance or granting of a permit or approval of <br />plans shall not prevent the administrative authority from <br />thereafter requiring the correction of errors in said plans and <br />specifications or from preventing construction operations being <br /> <br /> <br />
