ORDINANCE NO. NS-1903 <br />PAGE TWO <br /> <br />SECTION 3: That Section 8-719 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-719. Same--Temporary working permits. <br /> <br /> When, in the opinion of the building official, special <br />conditions warrant, a temporary working permit may be issued to <br />allow the permittee to commence the installation of electrical <br />wiring prior to obtaining a regular electrical permit. <br />However, the temporary working permit shall be replaced by a <br />regular electrical permit before the complete rough inspection <br />can be made. <br /> <br />SECTION 4: That Section 8-741 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-741. Approval of equipment. <br /> <br /> Ail appliances and equipment shall be listed and <br />labeled by a nationally recognized testing laboratory equal to <br />but not limited to Underwriter's Laboratories, Inc., and <br />approved by the building official. There shall be no <br />alterations or additions to any listed and or labeled appliance <br />or equipment without the written approval from a nationally <br />recognized testing laboratory and by the building official. <br /> <br />SECTION 5: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended by adding a section, to be numbered S 8-830, which said <br />section shall read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-830. Lighting outlets required (Section 210-70). <br /> <br /> Section 210-70 of the National Electrical Code is <br />amended by adding a section designated 210-70(c) to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> Section 210-70(c).
