226 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. NS-1935 <br />PAGE TWO <br /> <br />SECTION 5: That section 41-251 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 41-251. Rear yard. <br /> <br /> There shall be a rear yard of not less than fifteen <br />(15) feet. <br /> <br />SECTION 6: That section 41-252 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 41-252. Off-street parking in the R2 district. <br /> <br />(a) Off-street parking shall be provided in the <br /> manner prescribed in Article IV of this <br /> chapter. <br /> <br />(b) Each dwelling unit shall have a two (2) car <br /> garage. <br /> <br />SECTION 7: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended by adding a section, to be numbered 41-255, which <br />said section reads as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 41-255. Open space standard for the R2 district. <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />Usable open space shall be provided at the rate <br />of three hundred square feet of area for each <br />residential unit. Such usable open space shall <br />be divided between common and private open space. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />Each unit shall be provided with a minimum of <br />one hundred (100) square feet of private open <br />space in the form of a private landscaped yard, <br />patio or deck. The minimum dimension of the <br />private open space shall be six (6) feet. <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />A single common open space shall be provided at <br />the ground level at the rate of not less than <br />one hundred (100) square feet per 'unit. The <br />minimum dimension of the common open space area <br />shall be twenty-five (25) feet in one direction. <br />The common open space area may be in conjunction <br />with the side or rear yard setback areas. <br /> <br />(d) <br /> <br />The remaining open space (100 square feet) may <br />be provided as separate common open space at <br />different locations and/or levels on the project <br />site or as part of the required open space on <br />the ground or as part of an enclosed indoor <br /> <br /> <br />
