Such yards <br />shall be bermed and landscaped except at <br />approved driveways and walkways. <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />Rear yards. There shall be a rear yard of not <br />less than ten (10) feet. The rear yard shall be <br />landscaped unless screened from public streets <br />and adjacent properties. <br /> <br />(d) <br /> <br />Distance between buildings. There shall be <br />not less than fifteen (15) feet distance between <br />any two (2) buildings or structures. <br /> <br />SECTION 7: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended by adding a section, to be numbered 41-512, which said <br />section reads as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 41-512. Landscaping. <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />One 24-inch box canopy tree shall be provided <br />for each 25 linear feet of yard (exclusive of <br />driveways). Such trees may be placed in clusters. <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />Six five-gallon size shrubs shall be provided <br />per 25 linear feet of yard (exclusive of drive- <br />ways). As an alternative, the use of three 5- <br />gallon size shrubs and ten 1-gallon shrubs is <br />acceptable provided the plant material adds color <br />and variety to the design. <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />The front yard shall be planted in turf. A <br />ground cover is required in shrub areas and as <br />accents in small pockets. Redwood header boards <br />or similar barriers shall be placed between <br />turf and other plant materials. <br /> <br /> <br />
