<br />24() ORDINANCE NO. NS-2116 <br /> <br />Sec. 41-867. Major building identification signs. <br /> <br />I[ <br /> <br />Notwithstanding any other provision of this Article, a <br />permit may be issued for a wall sign for buildings over two <br />stories per this section which provides long-distance <br />identification, or signage for the primary tenant in such a <br />building, provided that the following standards are met: <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />(a) Number. <br /> <br />No more than two such signs shall be installed on the <br />building. <br /> <br />(b) Area. <br /> <br />The sign area of such a sign shall not exceed 40 percent <br />of the signable area to which it is attached, nor shall it <br />exceed an area equal to two square feet multiplied by the <br />number of lineal feet in the horizontal dimension of the <br />building face to which it is attached, measured at the height <br />of the proposed sign location. <br /> <br />(c) Lenqth. <br /> <br />The horizontal dimension of such sign shall not exceed 40 <br />percent of the horizontal dimension of the building elevation <br />to which it is attached, measured at the height of the <br />proposed sign location. <br /> <br />(d) Location. <br /> <br />Such sign shall be located at the top story of the <br />building or between the top story and the top of the building <br />parapet or eaveline. only one sign shall be permitted per <br />building elevation. <br /> <br />(e) Desiqn. <br /> <br />(I) Letter Height. <br /> <br />[ <br /> <br />The height of the letters used in such sign <br />not exceed the following maximums, depending <br />number of stories in the building: <br /> <br />shall <br />on the <br /> <br />Number of stories <br /> <br />Heiqht <br /> <br />(in <br /> <br />inches) <br /> <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br /> <br />24 <br />30 <br />36 <br />42 <br /> <br />12 <br />
