ORDINAl[CE NS-~2 it 2 <br />PAGE 9 009 <br /> <br />diameter and twelve (12) foot intervals (3.6 m) for <br />piping one (1) inch (25.4 mm) and larger in diameter. <br /> <br />(4) Copper tubing - Copper tubing shall be supported at <br />approximately six (6) foot (1.8 m) intervals for piping <br />one and one-half (1-1/2) inches (38.1 mm) and smaller in <br />diameter and ten (10) foot (3 m) intervals for piping two <br />(2) inches (50.8 mm) and larger in diameter. <br /> <br />(5) Lead pipe - Lead pipe shall be supported by strips or <br />otherwise for its entire length. <br /> <br />(6) In ground - Piping in the ground shall be laid on a <br />firm bed for its entire length, except where support is <br />otherwise provided, which is adequate in the judgment of <br />the Administrative Authority. <br /> <br />(7) Plastic pipe - Plastic pipe shall be supported at not <br />to exceed four (4) feet (1.2 m) on centers, at end of <br />branches, and at change of direction or elevation. <br />Supports shall allow free movement, but shall restrict <br />upward movement of lateral runs so as to not create <br />reverse grade. <br /> <br />(8) Suspended lines shall be suitably braced at no more <br />than forty (40) foot intervals to prevent horizontal <br />movement. <br /> <br />(c) Hangers and Anchors <br /> <br />(1) Material - Hangers and anchors shall be of material <br />of sufficient strength to maintain their proportional <br />share of the weight of pipe and contents. <br /> <br /> (2) Ail piping, fixtures, and equipment shall be <br />adequately supported to the satisfaction of the <br />Administrative Authority. <br /> <br />(3) Ail horizontal cast iron drain, waste and vent <br />piping, and all other horizontal piping 2~" and larger, <br />shall be supported with approved rod and hangers, in <br />accordance with Subsection (b) of this Section and with <br />the following table: <br /> <br />PIPE/TUBE SIZE <br /> <br />MINIMUM ROD SIZE <br /> <br />1%" 4" ¥8 <br /> <br />5" - 8- ~ <br /> <br />9 <br /> <br /> <br />
