ORDINANCE NS-2214 <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />Auto Mall Speoific Development <br />Page 6 of 10 <br /> <br />(SD-60) <br /> <br />Freestanding Signs. <br /> <br />No permit shall be issued for a freestanding sign which <br />does not comply with the following standards: <br /> <br />(1) Number. <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />The number of freestanding signs permittable <br />on an integrated development site shall be as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Total Street Frontaqe <br /> <br />Number <br /> <br />0 - 250 1 <br />251 - 500 2 <br />501 - 750 3 <br />751 - 1000 4 <br />1001 or more 5 <br /> <br />(2) Location and Design. <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />No more than one (1) freestanding sign <br />advertising or identifying the same business <br />activity shall be permitted on each street <br />frontage on which the integrated development <br />site has frontage. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />The freestanding sign shall be located in a <br />landscaped planter having an area at least <br />twice as large as the area of one face of the <br />sign. <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />No sign shall use mirrors reflecting a direct <br />light source or utilize flashing, blinking or <br />sequenced lights. No sign shall utilize <br />unshielded incandescent, fluorescent or neon. <br /> <br />(d) <br /> <br />No freestanding sign shall be closer than one <br />hundred (100) feet from another freestanding <br />sign on the same site. <br /> <br />(e) <br /> <br />No freestanding sign shall be located in the <br />triangular area measured fifteen (15) by <br />fifteen (15) feet where a driveway enters onto <br />a street, or in any other area which may <br />obstruct the vision of motorists so as to <br />create a safety hazard. <br /> <br /> <br />
