Administrative authority (Section 102.1). <br /> <br /> Section 102.1 of the Plumbing Code is amended to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> Whenever the term .administrative authority" is used in this <br /> code, it shall be construed to mean the building official of <br /> the city or his authorized representative. <br /> <br /> SECTION 16: That section 8-308 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-308. Permit required. (Section 103.1.1) <br /> <br /> Section 103.1 of the plumbing code is amended to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />103.1.1 Permits Required. It shall be unlawful for any <br />person, firm or corporation to install, remove, alter, repair, <br />replace or maintain any plumbing system regulated by this Code <br />except as permitted in Section 103.1.2, or cause the same to <br />be done, without first obtaining a separate permit to do such <br />work from the administrative authority for each separate <br />building or structure. <br /> <br /> SECTION 17: That section 8-313 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code is hereby repealed. <br /> <br /> SECTION 18: That section 8-340 of the Santa Ana Municipal <br />Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 8-340. Piping in the ground (Section 314.3). <br /> <br /> Section 314.3 of the Plumbing Code is amended to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />314.3 Piping in the ground shall be laid on a firm bed for its <br />entire length. Building drains, sewers and storm drain piping <br />systems in the ground, and designed and approved at less than <br />one percent grade, shall be laid on a continuous firm bed, <br />certified by a registered soils engineer as having a compac- <br />tion level of not less than ninety (90) percent density. <br />Where support is otherwise provided, it shall be acceptable to <br />the Administrative Authority. <br /> <br /> SECTION 19: That the Santa Ana Municipal Code is hereby <br />amended by adding a section, to be numbered 8-341, which said <br />section reads as follows: <br /> <br />8 <br /> <br /> <br />
