City Hall, Santa Aha, cal. July 22,1912, at 7:30 !0.n:. The Board met in regular adjourned session. Presents, Trustees Alderman, McPhse, Gru~b, Greenleaf, Board called to order by President Prank In Re Lights at City Parks In Rs Street Lights In Re Bids for Telephone Franchise In Rs ~ap Showing wires on City Streets In Re Bids for Sewer Ey and the Clerk. Trustees Grubb, Conmittee to report additional electric McPhee and Alderman were appointed a on the advisability of installing lights in the City Parks. On motion the Clerk is directed to notify the Southern California Edison Company to install street lights, one corner Baker and Walnut, two on "S" Street between l?th and Santa Clara. The President of the Board having announced the time having arrived to open bids for telephone franchise,the Olerk was on motion directed to open bids. The Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company bid ~lO0. On motion of Aldera.,an~ duly seconded and carried by the following vote to-wit: Ayes, Trustees Alderman, McPhee, Greenleaf, Grubb and Ey Noss~ Trustees ~one. It is ordered that the bid of the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company being the highest and best bid therefor that the telephone franchise be sold to the Pacific Tele- phone and Telegraph Company and the City Attorney is inst- ructed to draft Ordinance for sale of telephone franchise to the Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Company. On motion of Alderman, duly seconded and carried, Trustees ~,lderman and Grubb and the City Engineer were appointed a conm,'.ittee to prepare a map of the territory of the City of Santa Ana in which all telephone, tele- graph and electric con~panies will be required to install underground conduits for their wires~ The President of the Board having announced the time having arrived that under the notice of bids for sewer pipe for opening bids~ the Clerk was on ~otion directed to proceed to open bids.
