City Hall, Santa Aaa,Cal. September 7, 1912 7. p.m. The Board met. in regular adjourned session. Present, Trustees, Alde~an, ~IcPhee, Greenleaf, Gx~bb~ The Board called to order by President Frank ~y. In Re Bids for Garbage Collection In Re Ordinance No.$45,Tax Levy In Re Remonstrance on Pool Rooms In Re Gambling Devices and the Clerk. Upon the recommendation of McPhee, Greenleaf and Dr.J.I. Clark, a committee appointed to look up bids for garbage collection, it was on motion of Greenleaf, duly seconded and carried, ordered that the bid of Caulfield and Clary be ~ccepted to-wit: $~50.00 per month in accordance with Ordinance No.4~0 and to collecting in the residential section of the City and $~.00.00 per ~onth in accordance with Ordinance No.480 and one collection per week in the residential section of the City. The City Attorney is directed to prepare contract and the contractors Caulfield & 01ary to submit a bond of $1000 for the faithful performance of the contract. Ordinance No.~A§, an Ordinance of the City of Santa Aaa, fixing the amount of money ascertained to carry on the various departments of the City of Santa Aaa, and to pay all the bonded indebtedness falling due for the current year 191~.-15, and fixing the r~te of taxation for the 0urrent year of 191B-l~,designating the number of cents on each $100 for the various funds of said~ City on the ta.~ - able property of said City assessed by the City Assessor of the City of Santa Aaa, and equalized by the Board of Trustees of said City, and hereby levied on the taxable property of said City, was read and on motion referred to the City At'~orney. A remonstrance signed and presented by Mrs.J.R.Medlock et al, against the action of the Board in issuing a pool room, billiard and bowling alley license to H.A. Jones, at 414, 416 North Main Bt~eet, and asking that the said ~ action be rescinded, was presented. On motion of Alderman seconde~ by Green.leaf and carried, the 0ity Clerk is directed to notify H.A. Jones to be present at the next meeting of the Board of Trustees and to be informed as to the remonstrance against the pool roOm license issued to him. On motion of G~ubb, duly seconded and ca~ried, it is ordered that it is the sense of this Board that T~ustee McPhee be requested to divulge the names of the persons who are con-
