City Hall, Santa Ana, Cal. <br /> <br /> October 21st, 1912, 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The Board met in regular session. <br /> <br />Present, Trustees, Alderman, McPhee, <br /> <br />Absent, T~ustee Grubb. <br /> <br />Board called to order by President Frank ~y. <br /> <br />In Re Flower <br /> <br />Acres <br /> <br />In He <br /> <br />Tamale Stand <br /> <br />North Main St. <br /> <br />In Re Sale <br />CiTy Barn <br /> <br />In Re Ornamental <br />poles,Opera House <br /> <br />In Re Si~n Ordinance <br /> <br />In Re Sewerage <br />Detention Home <br /> <br />Xn Re Flag man <br />East First St. <br /> <br />E¥,Greenleaf and the Clerk. <br /> <br /> Sam Hill appeared before the Board and assked for the <br /> approval of a map of Flower Street Acres. On motion the <br /> ma~ was referred to a committee consisting of Trustees <br /> McPhee and Alderman and City Engineer Finley. <br /> <br />Dr. Roberts appeared before the Board and complained <br />against a tamale stand located on North Main Street in <br />fron~ of the "~moke House Pool Room" on motion the matter <br />was referred to Trustee Greenleaf. <br /> <br />Mr. Gill appeared before the Board and stated that he had <br /> <br />a buyer for the City Barn for $~.000.00 cash and offered the <br />City three acres on Washington Avenue for ~BO0.O0 for barn <br />purposes. No action taken. <br /> <br />R.C. Cavanaush, appeared before the Board and asked ~er- <br />mission to place ornamental poles and lights in front of <br />the Opera House. On motion of McPhee, duly seconded and <br />carried the request was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Alderman, duly seconded and carried, a <br />committee consistin, g of Alderman, McFnee and Greenleaf <br />were appointed to draft an Ordinance amending the Sign <br />Ordinance. <br /> <br />J.J. Zelian appeared before the Board in behalf of the <br />Detention Home relative to sewerage. On motion of <br />Alderman, duly seconded and ca~ried, a oom~.~ittee consist- <br />ing of Trustee Alderman, Superintendent Reid and Engineer <br />Finley were appointed to confer with the propsr officials <br />of the County. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />F. T. Smith appeared before the Board in relation to <br />placing a flag man at the ~anta Fe Railroad crossing on <br />East First Street. The offer of the Santa Fe to install <br />an automatic flag man at Railroad crossing on East First <br />street wason motion accepted. On motion of McPhee duly <br />seconded and carried, the 01erk is instructed to notify <br />the Southern Pacific Railway Company of the action of the <br />Board in relation to the flag man, and that they would be <br />expected to tak~ similar action as the Santa Se. <br /> <br /> <br />
