Rwy. <br />East 4th Street <br /> <br />In Re Plower Street <br /> <br />acree <br /> <br />In Re Railroad Crossings <br /> <br />In Re Trash Burner <br /> <br />In Re Removal of Trees <br /> <br />On motion of MoPhee, duly seconded and carried, the <br />request of the League of California :.~unicipalttiee, that <br />the Board take sene action on the Constitutional ~mend- <br />ment pertaining ~o home taxation was denied. <br /> <br />Requests for the installation of incandescent street <br />ligLts on Baker Street between Washington Avenue and l?th <br />Street, one corner Orchard and Flower, one corner Birch <br />and Tenth, one corner Patton and Third, and one on Van <br />Ness Avenue between Hickey and Orchard was referred to <br />committee consisting of Trustees Greenleaf and Alderman. <br /> <br />On motion of McPhee, seconded by Greenleaf and carried, <br />it is ordered that it is the semse of this Board that <br />they are opposed to the proposed constitutional amendm~ent <br />relative to the consolidation plan~for cities of over <br />$80,000 popular ion. <br /> <br />0rdin-~nce No. §48, an Ordinance requiring thay automobiles <br />be stopped when an Electric Railway is receiving ~nd dis- <br />charging passengers, was read and ordered referred to the <br />City Attorney, <br /> <br />~rdinance No. 549, an Ordinance adding a new section to <br /> <br />Ordinance No. 6 of the City of Santa Aha in relation to <br /> <br />Fire Protection, to be known as Section $~, was read and <br /> <br />ordered referred to the Oity Attorney. <br /> <br />On motion the Oity Marshal is empowered ~o put on three <br />special police on Hallowee'~. <br /> <br />On motion the Oity Clerk is instructed to notify the <br />Pacific ~,lectric Railway of the condition of ~ourth Stree~ <br />between Bristol and Hesperian, caused by the etde~a~khof <br />said Railway Oompany. <br /> <br />The ma~ presented by Sam Hill of Flower Street acres <br /> <br />for acceptance and approval was on motion denied. <br /> <br />On motion the 0ity Clerk is instructed to notify S.P. <br />Railway Company to change location of switch block at <br />Railway crossing at the intersection of Second and Spurgenn <br />Streets. <br /> <br />On motion the Park Oom~nission is instructed to look up <br />proposition of procuring trash burner for City Parks. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />R.R.
