The monthly reports of the several City officials were submitted and on motion referred to the Finance Committee. On motion of Alderman, duly seconded and carried, the following streets were ordered oiled: East Seventeenth Street from Roes to City Limite~ ~r!stol Street from 17th Street to ~ashington Avenue B~ker Street from l?th Street to Washington Avenue Washington Avenue from Ross Street to Baker Street McClay Street from First Street to :[cPadden Street Grand Avenue from 4th Street to 17th Street "C" Street from l?th Street On motion of Alderman, duly to Santiago Creek. seconded and carried,it is ordered that the 9 pepper trees located on French Street in front of property of J.E.Threlkeld, be removed at the City's expense, and that tree at Northeast corner of 18th and Spurgeon Streets be removed. A conr.~ittee appointed to investigate and report on removal of trees on First Street East of Halladay Street recomz.end the removal of three trees and retaining of one tree. On motion the rel~ort of the com~ittee is accepted. On motion of ~.~cPhee, duly seconded and carried, J.L. Weaver is appointed a special police to serve without pay. On motion the City ~ngineer is directed to prepare a map straightening 17th Street from "C" Street to S.P. Rail- road track. On motion of Ho Phee, duly seconded and carried, the President of the Board of Trustees ie instructed to sign all licenses and see that they are placed in the hands of the ~.~arshal for collection. On motion the Clerk is instructed to draw warrants on the City Treasurer covering Demands Nc.
