Annin for housemover's license was <br />ordered approved and license ordered issued. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />A complaint from citizens of West. 4th Street against <br />the high rate of speed of street cars on West 4th <br />Street, having been filed, it was on motion of McPhee, <br />duly seconded and carried, ordered that the City Mar- <br />shal and his deputies arrest all car crews exceeding <br />speed limits, as referred to in Speed Ordinance, and <br />the City Clerk is instructed to notify the Pacific <br />Electric Railway officials of the action of the Board. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />A request of .Mr. Padgham for numbering houses and <br />places of business was on motion referred to the Build- <br />ing 'Inspector. <br /> <br />The petition of J.W. Flagg, et al, to pave ~ast First <br /> <br />Street from the Easterly line of Main Street to the <br /> <br />Westerly line of Santa Fe Railroad tracks was on motion <br /> <br />of Grubb, seconded by Greenleaf, gran~edj <br /> <br />On motion of Grubb seconded by Greenleaf and carried, <br /> <br />it is ordered that not more than t~_ree intersections <br /> <br />on East First Street be closed at the same time while <br />the street is being paved. <br /> <br />On motion of Grubb, seconded by Greenleaf and carried, <br />the City Engineer is instructed to prepare plans <br />specifications for the paving of East First Street, <br />between the Easterly line of Main Street and the Westerly <br />line of the Santa Fe Railroad tracks. <br /> <br />On motion of Grubb, seconded b~ Greenleaf and carried, <br />the City Attorney is directed to prepare a Resolution <br />of Intention of paving East First Street ~etweeh the <br />Easterly line of Main Street and the Westerly line of <br />the Santa Fe Railroad track. <br /> <br />The President of the Board having aunounced this the <br />time for the opening of bid~ for the sewer district <br />the Clerk was on motion of Alderr.~au, seconded by EcPhee <br />ordered to proceed to open bids, and ~he~f~lowing bids <br />were opened and publ%cly declared. <br /> <br />John Satolo bid $1~,?00; 0hamberlain and Mc0ormick bid <br />i1~,9~8; WjN.
