In Re Galvanized I~on Tall,Roberts-Oliver In Re Peanut A. F. ~mith In R~ ~i~ of Stanton In Re Home Tele;,hone Co. Franhcise Tax Grub~~ and the Clerk. A request of W.H. Liggett for license to conduct a skating rink on West ~th Street between Gomnsey and Patton was submitted. Several property owners from the in~..edtate vicinity objected to the granting of s~id license~ On motion of ~.,~cPhee seconded by Alderman and carried, the request is denied. On motion of Alderman duly seconded ~nd carried, a oon~ittee is appointed to purchase an extension ladder for the Fir~ Dei~rtment; the following conm~ittee w~re all, pointed Trustee Alderm~n, Su!~erin~endent Reid and Fire Chief Young. Messrs. Roberts and Oliver of the Roberts-Oliver Co. appea~ed before the Board and asked permission to build a galvanized iron wall on their property at 201 North Spurgeon Street. On motion the matter was referred to Trustees Alder~:an and Grubb and Fire Chief Young for investigation. A request from A.F. Smith to conduct a pop corn and peanut wagon on North Main Street between Zrd and ~h Street, accompanied by the signatures of property owners was on motion granted. A con~nunication from the C~mber ~f Commerce asking that speed signs for automobiles be placed on certain streets; action deferred until the auotmobile law h~s been received. An invitation from the City of St~nton inviting the City officials of the City of Santa Aha ~o participate in a barbecue to be held at Stanton ~n~ay S.~rd,191~, was on motion accepted. A statement from the Iiome Telephone Co~p~ny ahowing the sum of ~S87.80, due the City on S per cent fran- chiase ~ax up to Now~mber 18th,191S, was on motion referred to the Finance
