CiTY HALL, SANTA ANA, CAL. <br /> Jan. 23, 191S at 2 p.n:. <br /> <br />The Board met in regular adjourned session. <br /> <br />Present, Trustees Alderman, McPhee, Greenleaf, <br /> <br />Board called to order by President Erank my. <br /> <br />In Re Bid <br /> <br />for Water Well <br /> <br />In Re Exits <br /> <br />Places of Amusement <br /> <br />In Re Paving Spurgeon St <br />between 10th & Waah.Ave. <br /> <br />In Re Fire Hydrants <br /> <br />Grubb, Ey and the Clerk. <br /> <br />On recomz:mndation of the Committee appointed to look up <br />and report on bid for drilling water well, the bid of <br />Hallstro~ and Boslar for $3?60 was accepted~ provided <br />No.8 gauge ~$~ is substituted for No.10 gauge,contractor <br />to furnish necessary bonds, and all work to be performed <br />under plans and conditions of specifications on file in <br />Water Office by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Alderman, Mcphee, Greenleaf, Grubb and Fy. <br /> <br />Noes, None. <br /> <br />On motion of Grubb, meoonded by Greenleaf, and carried, <br /> <br />it is ordered that a committee be appointed to investigate <br />all plans of amusement in the City and cause adequate exits <br />to be installed for fire protection and safety of patrons. <br />In pursuance of the foregoing the Board were named as a <br />committee of the whole and ordered to investigate at once. <br /> <br /> On motion of Grubb, sSeonded by Alderman, it is ordered <br /> that the petition be granted and work ordered dome, and <br /> that the City enter into a contract for paving street <br /> intersections, provided however that in compliance with <br /> franchise granted to 8outhern Counties Gas Company that <br /> they be notified and 20 days allowed for changing gas <br /> mains and pipes, and that Water Department of City be allow- <br /> ed a reaconable time for changing water mains and pipes, <br /> and that a committee be appointed"to investigate and propose <br /> plans for the disposal of blind end of llth Street East of <br /> Spurgecn Street. <br /> <br /> In pursuance of the foregoing, Trustees McPhee, Greeuleaf <br /> and Alderman were named a con~ittee. <br /> <br /> On motiou of McPhee, duly seconded and carried, the request <br /> for fire hydrants in the Southern portion of the City was <br /> referred tp c~mmittees consisting of Trustee Alderman and <br /> <br />Water Superintendent Reid. <br />On motion Board Adjourned, <br /> <br />Pre~ident-'o'f the 'B~ Trustees, <br /> <br /> <br />
