¢it¥ Hall, 8ants Asa, Cal. <br /> <br /> Jan. 5th, 1914, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The Board met in regular session. <br /> <br />Present, Trustees Alderman, MoPhee, Greenleaf, G~ubb, <br /> <br />Board called to order by President Frank <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br />In Re Testing Fire Alarm <br /> <br />Boxea~ <br /> <br />In Re Bonds, Water <br />and Fire <br /> <br />In Re Bide for Autos for <br />Water Department <br /> <br />In Re ~treet Scales <br /> <br />In Re Foot Bridge, <br />North Main Street <br /> <br />Wy and the Olerk. <br /> <br />Ana at <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion duly seconded and carried, the Fire 0bier <br />ie instructed to direct the City ~lectriolan to make <br /> <br /> of all fire alarm boxes in the 0ity of ~anta <br /> least once each month. <br /> <br /> The President of the Board having announced this the <br /> time for opening bids for Water and Fire Bonds, the <br /> Clerk was on motion of McPhae, seconded by Alderman, <br /> and carried,d&reoted to proceed to open bids. <br /> The following bid was received from F~rson Son & <br /> <br /> agreeing to pay ~ and accrued interest,and in <br /> addition thereto a premium of $~S.00,and to be allowed <br /> a satisfactory amount to cover legal expenses, blank <br /> bende arc. <br /> <br /> On motion of Alderman, seconded by Oreenleaf and carried, <br /> it is ordered that action be deferred on the bid of <br /> Farson, Son & Co., until the next adjourned meeting of <br /> the Board. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br />The President of the Board having announced this the <br />time for opening bids for automobiles for the Wa~er <br />Department, the Clerk was on motion of Alderman, duly <br />seconded and carried, directed to proceed to open bids. <br />Bide were received from M.~ltiete & Co., F.L.A~tin, <br />and the West ~nd ~rage. <br /> <br />On motion duly seconded and carried the bids were <br />referred to a committee consisting of Trustees ~rubb, <br />Greenleaf and McPhee and Water Superintendent Bead. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />Taylor Bros. made application for a permit to put in <br />a 12 Ton wa6on scales in the rear of their place on <br />Palm Avenue. On motion of Grubb, duly seconded and <br />carried, the petition is granted. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />The proposition to build a foot-bridge connecting with <br />the North Main Street bridge ~ver Santiago Creek was <br />su~itted. On .~tion of Alderman, seconded by McPhee <br />and ~arried, it is ordered that a foot-bridge connect- <br />inS with the North Main Street Bridge be constructed <br />under ~1~ as suggested by Fire 0bier Young and that <br />the labor be performed under the supervision of City <br /> <br /> <br />
