Present, Trustees Alderman, McPhee, Greenleaf, Board called to order by President Frank Grubb, Ey and the Clerk. In Rs Paving gast Fourth St. The President of the Board having announced this the time for opening bids for paving and culverts on ~ast Foumth Street between the A.T. & S.F. R~y. Oo.'s East rail and the East City limits of ths City of Santa Ana,the City Clerk was on motion of Aldsrn,an, seconded by McPhee, ordered to proceed to open bids. The L.A. Paving C~i~ny bid- asphalt concrete pavement 14 cts. per square foot. 0ulverts, $3;50 per lineal foot. M~x L. Huberman bid- asphalt concrete pavement 144 cts. per sQ. ft. Culverts, SZ.~ per lineal foot. On motion of Alderman, seconded by Grubb, it is ordered that the paving and culverts on gast Fourth Street from the gast rail of the main track of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fs Railway to the gast 0Sty Limits of the City of Santa Aha, be awarded to the L.A. Paving Company at- asphalt concrete pavement at 14 cts. per sQ.ft, and culverts at $5.50 per linea~ foot, its bid being the lowest and best bid, and that all other bide be rejected, was carried by the follow- ing vote to-wit:- Ayes, Trumtees Alderman, McPhee, Greenleaf, Grubb and ~oes, None. P~'solved,that the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana, having in open session on the ~nd day of March, A.D. 1914, opened, examined and publicly declared all sealed proposals or bids offered for the followin~ work to-~it: That the roadway of gaet Fourth Street in said City, from the rail of the main track of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway, to the ~ast City Limits of the City of Santa Ana, be paved with a cement concrete base of 5 inches thickness, and a wearing ~urface of ~phalt concrete 1~ inches thickness, except a strip of 9 feet width, the ~orth line of which is ~5.5 feet ~outh of the ~orth line of said gast Fourth Street, also except that portion required to ~e done by any person or company having railroad tracks thereon. That culverts be constructed on said ~ast Fourth Street from the gast rail of the main track of the A.T.& S.F. Rwy. ~o the East 0Sty Limits of the 0i~y of Santa Ana, at the places provided for as shown on the plans and specifications for said culverts, hereby
