Padgham for a refund of $7.00, money paid out by the City Board of Trueteee for two City Directoriee, one purchased for the Oity Marshal's office and one for the 0ity Clerk's office, it having been reported by the City Marshal that the said Directories were incomplete. # An application was received from 0has. R. Schenck for the position of Street Inspector and said application was ordered filed. Warrant 0o. 998, April 2, 1906, for $1.30 favor of Sunset Telephone Co., was on motion ordered cancelled. On motion duly seconded and carried, the City Clerk ie instructed to draw warrants on the City Treaeure~ cover- ing Demands Oo.1§2 to Oo.357 inclusive, and ae the same are recorded in Demand and Warrant Book Oo.1, pages 68, 69, 70 and 71. A communication was received from the Southern Pacific 0ompany in reference to storage tank,for road oil and the same was ordered filed. The petition of J.M.Akine, et al, for paving ~aet Pine Street from the gaeterly line of South Main St.,to the Westerly line of Hickory St., in the 0ity of Santa Ana, having been submitted to the 0ity ~ngineer for verifica- tion of signatures and frontage, and the City ~ngineer having reported ~re tha~ 50 per cent of the frontage being signed, the prayer of the petition ia granted. On motion of Alderman,seconded by Grubb, the 0ity gngineer is directed to pre,are plane and specifications and the City Attorney is directed to prepare Resolution of Inten- tion of paving gast Pine Street from the gasterly line of South Main Street to the Westerly line of Hickory St. in the City of Santa Aha, by the following vote to-wit: Ayes, Trustees Alderman, McPhee, Greenleaf, Grubb and ~y. Nos. Trustee Greenleaf. # The petition of Mrs. C.g. Lentz, petitioning the Board to commence proceedings to lay cement curbs and cement side- walks on both sides of Valencia St.,from 17th St., to 20th St., was on motion referred to the City Engineer. #
